Let the Games Begin!

Let the Games Begin!
We kicked off the Olympic Games with a “Let the Games Begin” event at the EpiCentre on July 28, 2012. We had our own set of games including archery, lacrosse, and basketball. The Hounds provided the huge inflatable lacrosse game for everyone to play. It was a big hit!  Flags decorated the EpiCentre to give it an international feel to represent the London games.

Radio Disney created a scavenger hunt to add some competition to the event. The kids had to stop by every station and game to recieve a stamp. Once your card was complete they could return it and get an awesome prize!
Children’s Party Plus helped make all the kids winners at this event by making a gold medal craft. The kids decorated them with colorful pasta and beads in all different shapes. And if they weren’t busy playing or crafting, they were getting glitter tattoos. Children’s Party Plus gave the kids colorful and sparkling tattoos in all different sports shapes. There were tattoos ranging from ballet dancers to soccer balls.

To finish the event we had a huge cupid shuffle in the middle of the EpiCentre to celebrate National Dance Day. Cheerleaders from Queens University brought their pom-poms and danced along with us. So did the Checkmates, the cheerleaders from the Checkers! They showed off their awesome dance moves!

But that’s not all! Big Stuff, the eagle mascot from Winthrop, Blue, the Hounds mascot, and Chubby, from the Checkers, joined us! They danced with us, posed for pictures with the kids, and even joined in on the games!

Here are the kids hanging out with some of their favorite cheer leaders from Queens University.

This was definitely a fun and memorable event for us and hopefully everyone who joined us!

The Magic of Father's Day!

We celebrated all of Charlotte’s wonderful Dads with a magical event this Father’s Day at the EpiCentre. Families gathered at the EpiCentre in down town Charlotte to enjoy a day of magic filled fun!

All of the wonderful photography from the event comes from the Official EpiCentre Gallery on their website. Check out all of their great event photos!
Radio Disney joined us and blasted all of our favorite songs to get the kids ready to have a fun day.

Kids and parents participated in fun games and competitions with Radio Disney to win fun prizes. Kids and parents alike enjoyed the animated stilt walker and juggler. And what kid doesn’t love getting their face painted? Seeing all their painted smiles was definitely a highlight of the event!

The kids and their fathers also joined us in making a sand candy magic wand.  We always ensure a creative and fun craft at every one of our events, but this craft was especially popular!  Dads helped their children fill the wand with tons of different colored and flavored types of sand.

To top off the party, the magician taught the children how to do magic tricks with their new wands. Their excitement and amazement was priceless.

We cannot wait for our next event at the EpiCentre!

It's an unbirthday!

Wow! What a difference a year makes, after looking thru tons of photos we had to share this party.

Little Miss A was turning 2 and it was time for a "unbirthday" party for the occasion. Her mother enlisted us to create some age appropriate fun for Miss A and her guest.

Heather of HMK Photography out of Rock Hill, SC captured every detail. All of the infamous details from the movie were incorporated into the party, including Drink Me and Eat Me tags.

We also incorporated those oh so famous talking flowers and deck of cards into the decor. Peep what we created below. The playing card garland is super easy to create, and makes a great DIY project.

The decor for the party was a mixture of hand painted tea cups, paper tissue balls, directional signs and more in a variety of bold and playful colors.

The birthday girl and friends enjoyed jumping in the bounce house and stuffing their own white rabbit. What a fun way to celebrate a 2nd birthday, it truly was a very Happy Birthday!

Tea anyone?

The good ole fashion tea party is making a come back, of course with a new flair and style. We were approached about doing a traditional tea party.

When we hear the word traditional we take those elements while incorporating something new within the party.

The party colors selected were pink and green, we incorporated traditional by using crisp white linen and chair covers. The new and fresh came by way of overlays and chair sashes, it's so fancy and cute.

The girls enjoyed activities of karaoke, decorating a tea hat and dancing. We always incorporate movement into each party, regardless of the theme. This in encourages the children that being active and moving is fun.

The girls love the idea of getting dressed up, and so do we. Children's Party Plus is excited to announce that we now have our Tea Party with fine china, dress up accessories and of course etiquette.

For more information about our Tea Party give us a call or email us. We would love to host high tea for your children.

Tutu Cute Party!

Oh boy, oh boy are we excited to share this party with you guys. Back in November, "yes you heard that correct November" we had the pleasure of planning and hosting a party for little Miss Marley.

Her mother wanted an original theme that would accommodate both girls and boys while having a girlish flair to it.

After pondering back and forth the theme of "Tutu's and Ties", the color scheme selected was Hot Pink and Orange while using polka dots for texture.

The party was held at a new dance studio in the University area of Charlotte, by the name of Dancerz Stage. Dancerz Stage was the perfect location for party as the space is new, clean, open and has safety prevention floors.

We set the tone of the party by incorporating orange and hot pink from the ceilings; by using paper lanterns, tissues balls and custom made ties (of course).

The floor to ceiling windows posed a challenge in the beginning, but after creating over 200 polka dots were adorning the windows and added exactly the right amount of pop to enhance the room.

The kids enjoyed a variety of activities from fun crafts, dancing and of course fantastic face painting.
To add an additional element of fun the kids were able to jump in our photo booth, how cute right?

The birthday mom wanted to incorporate a sweet treats table into the party,so she enlisted the assistance of a friend to bake up some delicious cupcakes for the occasion. Each cupcake was adorned with a "tie" or "ballet slippers" and to not miss a single detail Marley's name was spelled on the cupcakes.

The guest definitely enjoyed all the yummy treats on the sweet treats table, including candy covered popcorn, custom made lollipops and more.

We are glad that we were able to be apart of Marley's big day. We hope to celebrate birthday number four with Miss Marley next year.

Princesses are always Practically Perfect!

Oh it has been awhile since we have graced you with a blog. We have been so busy and apologize in advance for lack of post. This week we have decided to grace our blog every day with a different party, so hold on to your seats and get ready to PARTY!

We had the pleasure to do a "Pink Princess Party" for the sweetest little girl and family the week before Christmas. What was so interesting about this party is that we had less than a week, yes you heard right we had only a couple of days to pull everything together.

We enlisted one of our favorite vendors to create some new balloon decor. The final decision was custom made lollipops made out of balloons for the sweet treats bar.

This was the first time we incorporated balloon designs on our sweet treats table. I have to say we like the way it looks and adds a special flair to the design.

We also incorporated some traditional latex balloons to fill the space with color.

The kids enjoyed a variety of activities from crafts to face painting and balloon twisting. The cherry on the Sunday were appearances and interaction from Cinderella and Belle. Every little princess wanted a picture with the princesses, who wouldn't?

Last but not least the boys of the party had their own little oasis from all the pink and the princesses. We created a Pirate table for all those scallywags in attendance for the party.

We hope you enjoyed photos from the party. Be sure to come back to tomorrow and see our next party feature for the week. More photos from this party can be viewed at www.childrenspartyplus.com and be sure to subscribe to our blog.
